MMV10 as a full-digital conference event gives other possibilities for poster presentation methods than a physical conference. Hence, we welcome virtual posters such as PowerPoint presentations or video presentations (storytelling) followed by a discussion.
The total duration of the poster presentation is 10 minutes. Preliminary results or methods from an ongoing research project can be presented and discussed. Data collection is also possible. The abstract deadline is extended until 16th April. Complete presentation upload instructions will be released in June 2021.
By the abstract deadline of 31st March, we had received an impressive number and diversity of abstracts for MMV10. More than 140 abstracts from nearly 30 countries have been received, well distributed across the session topics.
Please note that we now open for additional submissions of abstracts, and the final deadline will be 16th April. Please share this date in your network and encourage people to join! MMV10 will offer a high-quality conference event, where you will get insight into the latest research in visitor management and how Covid-19 has affected recreation in natural areas.

The MMV conference provides a forum for presentations and other exchanges of ideas and experiences related to the monitoring and management of visitors in recreation and protected areas. The emphasis is on policies, problems, practices and innovative solutions, and is of relevance to academics as well as professionals in the field. The 10th International Conference on Monitoring and Management of Visitors in Recreational and Protected Areas (MMV10) will be held August 16-19, 2021, as a full-digital conference event, hosted from Norway. The program will be a combination of plenary presentations from keynote speakers from around the globe, paper and poster sessions, virtual excursions and informal networking events. On this pages you will find updated information that will evolve as we are developing the MMV10 program.
